3.7. Checking for network routing issues with TraceRT command line

When experiencing call quality issues (i.e. choppy calls or jitter) a trace route test will help in determining the cause of the issue.

To run a trace route test use the following steps:

  • Start a command prompt window
    • click on start or windows button
    • click on run
    • type: CMD on the run line.
  • start the trace route
    • type: tracert ping.safesoftsolutions.com

  • when the trace route is complete, make a right click anywhere in the command prompt window and click on "Select All"
  • Open a notepad then go to Edit and select paste

  • Save your notepad file and email it to support@safesoftsolutions.com.
