2.1. Built in Embedded Phone Error Using Newest Version of Chrome

Built in Phone error using the newest version of Google Chrome browser.

Recent automatic update from Google will disable support for several web plugins, including the built in phone. Clients may change a Chrome browser setting to re-enable built in phone support.

If you are getting an error message over the keypad on your built in phone as shown below and have installed the phone already, you will need to follow the steps to enable the phone

STEPS TO FIX GOOGLE CHROME UPDATE CAUSING PHONE NOT TO START:

To permanently re-enable this (via chrome://flags/#enable-npapi), follow these instructions:

1. In your browser address bar, type chrome://flags and hit enter.

2. Scroll down to (or use Control-F to find) Enable NPAPI and click the Enable link.

3. When the Enable NPAPI option shows up with a "Disable" link, it has been correctly enabled.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the Chrome window and click the "Relaunch now" button. Chrome must be relaunched in order for these changes to take effect.

Once the above steps have been taken, you will be able to login to the Safesoft Solutions Agent or Admin console and use the embedded built in phone as normal.
