Checking for Quality of Service issues with Continuous Ping

When experiencing call quality issues (i.e. choppy calls or jitter) a continuous ping test will help in determining the cause of the issue.

Step 1. Press on your Keyboard the Windows Key + R at the same time.

Step 2. A run window will appear. Type cmd in the Open field and then, click on OK.

Step 3.  It will redirect you to the DOS window. Start the continuous ping by typing ping safesoftsolutions.com –t and then, press Enter on your keyboard.

Reply from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (ip address of the website) – this message indicates that your host receive the ping message. Internet connection is good.

Request timed out – this error message indicates that your host did not receive the ping message back from the destination device within the designated time period.
